Why I Love Work

Clear, compelling and honest writing is at the heart of my business. Making a positive difference for my clients is the goal. The bonus is getting to know and understand their worlds - from artisan distilleries to classic car rally organisers to artists.
Writing about motoring, and car enthusiasts (some of the nicest and funniest people you could wish to meet), is so much fun. I've driven or ridden in all sorts of vehicles, from 72-ton Challenger tanks to pre-WW2 Bentleys.
As a freelance journalist I've covered a wide range of subjects including articles on female inventors, 24 hour endurance races, dementia, parties, spies and sex, and interviewed people as diverse as artist Damien Hirst and Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan.
Copywriting
You want your business to thrive and I know the importance of having a strong visual style to help written work capture an audience's imagination. Profiles of emerging and established artists in Cornwall, exploring the intersection of traditional craftsmanship and contemporary design and documenting the challenges and triumphs of creative entrepreneurs are all highly enjoyable elements of my work.

Cars & Motoring
I'm mainly a motoring journalist and have just interviewed young female demon racer Cora Moore (Auto Addicts), Lagonda preservationist Greg Powlesland (The Automobile) and Bugatti wizard Ivan Dutton (Auto Addicts).
I like focussing on exploring the restoration journeys of classic vehicles and highlighting the adventures and owners connections to their beautiful cars. Freelance Journalism

Legacy Writing
Have you had a great adventure in your life that you would like to be written up for posterity whether in a car, on foot, or on the sea? Bringing that adventure back to life is one of my favourite tasks. I know how much pleasure comes from a personal story being written and preserved.
